On a subtle level, the body has "channels" in which the life force flows. These "channels" work with the energies of the Chakras and Aura. The Aura is a capsulized layered energy around the body. The Chakras are vortices that flow energy into the "channels" and out of the "Channels" into and from the Aura. When the life force is not able to flow through these "channels" and becomes blocked, a person can develop symptoms of dis-ease. Reiki works to help unblock the flow of energy and move Universal life force through the subtle body. This helps a person's own ability to heal, and will help to heal dis-ease, discomfort (pain), and stress.

To practice Reiki, one needs to have special "attunements". There generally are three attunements. Along with the "attunements" a person is trained to understand, on a deeper level than discussed here, the subtle body. The Reiki Master will also demonstrate how to give Reiki for oneself and others. There are a total of six symbols (in some practices seven) for all three levels. These symbols are utilized as "keys" to unlock the Universal door, so-to-speak, and tap into the energies of the Universe for life force energies.

DISTANT ATTUNEMENTS: The question arises, how does that work? A distant attunement works in a similar way as the attunement, in person. The energies and symbols are sent over time and space instead. Either way the attunement is affective. Although, my personal preference is for the attunement to take place in person. If you can join a class that I teach on Reiki, that would be best.

Local Reiki Coursework

All local coursework is done in a group setting. It is easier to demonstrate the practice when students are able to do the work on each other.

I have a manual for local practitioner trainings, and a book. I require that the students participate in "exchanges" and do case study work.
